Meet the Hollywood Team Behind Sightline Windows & Doors Hollywood

Every window and door we install in Hollywood travels through these hands first. We’re a small crew by design, four people who’ve worked together long enough to know who takes the lead on a tricky geometric opening and who stays late to make sure the photo record is complete. What holds us together isn’t a handbook, it’s the Haven Standard, Clause by Clause, and the fact that none of us has patience for a job that needs to be redone.

Our People

Sonia Raman, Owner

I started Sightline in 2012 after ten years of measuring openings for other companies and watching customers get one number on the phone and another when the crew showed up. Haven Clause 1, Have it in writing, exists because I wrote it for myself first. I still carry the laser measure on every initial survey in Hollywood, Pembroke Pines, and Fort Lauderdale because the quote and the measurement are the same document, and I sign both. My specialty is impact-rated retrofits in older coastal buildings where the original rough opening doesn’t match anything on a modern spec sheet. I live in Hollywood with two rescue dogs who have learned to sleep through the sound of a miter saw.

Marcus T., Lead Technician

Marcus has been with us since 2017 and holds the crew’s only IGCC (Insulating Glass Certification Council) certification for sealed-unit failure diagnosis, which matters more than you’d think in Hollywood’s humidity. He runs the install team on impact window replacements in Hallandale Beach and Aventura, and he’s the one who catches a frame out of square before the shims go in. His detail: he keeps a waterproof notebook in his truck with hand-drawn diagrams of every unusual flashing condition he’s encountered, fourteen notebooks so far, none of them digitized. Customers who get Marcus on their job learn more about their wall assembly than they expected.

Elena V., Senior Installer

Elena joined us in 2019 after six years installing storefront systems in Miami-Dade, and she brought with her a tolerance for South Florida’s concrete-block construction that most residential crews never develop. She specializes in sliding and patio door installations where the existing header is questionable, and she’s certified in Therma-Tru and PGT entry systems. Her human detail is that she speaks Spanish with customers in Hollywood’s Washington Park corridor and East Lake neighborhoods, and she refuses to let a job pass inspection without walking the homeowner through the photo record herself. She has a standing bet with Marcus about who can finish a standard double-hung replacement faster; she is currently up by four.

Darnell K., Service Coordinator

Darnell answers the phones that ring at 11 PM when a customer in Hollywood Hills notices water intrusion around a frame we installed three months ago. He’s been with Sightline since 2020, and his role is to make sure the live person a customer reaches actually knows something about windows, not just how to take a message. He schedules surveys, tracks permit status with Hollywood’s Building Division, and maintains the photo record archive. His detail: he was a glazier’s apprentice in Orlando for four years before a shoulder injury moved him indoors, so when a customer describes a “weird fog between the glass,” he knows whether it’s a seal failure or condensation before he opens the file.

Javi R., Apprentice Installer

Javi started with us in 2023 through a partnership with a Hollywood trade program, and he’s working toward his CGI-certified installer credential by year-end. He assists on full-frame replacements and has taken over standard insert installations in newer construction east of Federal Highway. His detail: he grew up in a 1956 ranch in Hollywood Gardens where every window leaked, so he understands the customer side of this job better than most apprentices. He asks more questions than some veterans are comfortable with, which is exactly why we hired him.
